Invisalign takes a modern approach to straightening teeth, using a custom-made series of aligners. These aligner trays are made of smooth, comfortable and virtually invisible plastic that you wear over your teeth. Wearing the aligners will gradually and gently shift your teeth into alignment, based on the exact movements planned out for you. A new set of aligners is changed approximately every two weeks, until your treatment is complete. You’ll achieve a great smile with little interference in your daily life. The best part about the whole process is that most people won’t even know you’re straightening your teeth.

Step 1:  The first step in treatment is visiting Dr. Pantzis for a consultation.  She’ll evaluate your teeth, bite and other features of your smile to determine if Invisalign is an appropriate treatment option.  For most people, Invisalign will help accomplish their smile goals.

Step 2:  A smile scan is taken with Dr. Pantzis’ iTero Digital Impression system.  The iTero  is more comfortable and quicker than messy rubber impressions.

Step 3: Dr. Pantzis works with Invisalign and ClinCheck computer software to adjust all teeth movements.  The software will even produce a simulated outcome of what your teeth will look like once your case is complete!

Step 5:  Your custom aligners will be made out of a durable SmartTrack material, created specifically for the Invisalign process.

Step 6:  Dr. Pantzis will deliver your trays and review wear and maintenance instructions.  Typically you will see Dr. Pantzis for check up visits at required intervals to insure that treatment is progressing as planned.

Step 7:  Once your treatment is complete, you will be given a retainer. Similar in to an aligner, the retainer is worn at night to prevent the forces in your mouth from pushing the teeth out of their new position.
